Dr. Lanier grew up as an Air Force kid, mainly living along the East Coast. Her family settled in South Dakota after retiring from the armed forces. Dr. Lanier loved growing up with animals and knew from a young age she wanted to become a veterinarian.

She attended South Dakota State University, graduating in 2011 with her Bachelor's and in 2012 with her Master's degree. She graduated in 2017 from Iowa State University with her Doctorate in veterinary medicine. Her interests include ophthalmology, surgery, physical therapy and rehabilitation. 

Dr. Lanier moved to Arizona right after graduating to enjoy the warmer weather and lives in Gilbert. She has 3 fur children: a Husky named Renly, a pitbull named Jetta, and a domestic shorthair named Saki. In her free time, she enjoys running, playing softball, reading and exploring Phoenix.

Her philosophy is to constantly learn and advance the medicine that is practiced here at Alta Mesa Animal Hospital. She loves mentoring doctors and creating a healthy family culture within the hospital. She can't wait to be given the opportunity to help your pet!
