Dr. Lanier grew up as an Air Force kid, mainly living along the East Coast. Her family settled in South Dakota after her dad retired from the Air Force. Dr. Lanier loved growing up with animals and knew from a young age she wanted to become a veterinarian.

She attended South Dakota State University, graduating with her Bachelor's and her Master's degree. She graduated from Iowa State University with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Her interests include ophthalmology, surgery, physical therapy and rehabilitation. 

Dr. Lanier moved to Arizona right after graduating to enjoy the warmer weather and lives in Gilbert. She has 3 fur children: a Husky named Renly, a pitbull named Jetta, and a domestic shorthair named Saki. In her free time, she enjoys running, playing kickball, reading and exploring Phoenix.

Her philosophy is to constantly learn and advance the medicine that is practiced here at Alta Mesa Animal Hospital. She loves mentoring doctors and creating a collaborative culture within the hospital. She can't wait to be given the opportunity to help your pet!
