Megs: Pet Nurse Supervisor

Welcome to our wonderful hospital homepage! My name is Megs; I am the Nursing Supervisor here at AMAH. I have been working in the veterinarian field for the past 7 years come October of ‘08. I’ve had the pleasure of being part of the AMAH team for just over 2 years. I’m engaged to an Army Solider, whom I’m happy to say has been my high school sweetheart for the past 10 years. I am a board member of the Pima Medical Institute, and a member/participant in board meetings for AzVMA. Other groups that I’ve been associated with; Chasing the Cure (Diabetes), FRG (Family Readiness Group *Military*), Christopher Reeves Foundation (Spinal Cord Injury), Az Cats (Mission Nip‘n’Tip), Valley Cats (Fostering), Aberdeen Animal Hospital Adoptions (no longer in operation), Supporter of San Diego Navy Sea Cadets, Support Our Soldiers (Military), TCM (Saving the Films), and multiple sports teams/leagues. I love to travel, read, and sing karaoke (I’ve even won contests). The furthest I’ve traveled is England & Scotland, and hope to continue to see the world different cultures. I have an amazing Cocker Spaniel, “Buddy”, who is the life of my life! My favorite breeds are Cocker Spaniels, Miniature Schnauzers, Shih Tzus, West Highland Terriers, and Yorkshire Terriers.
Nurses: These are our most skilled, compassionate, and experienced pet nurses. We have a core group of stars that daily interact in patient care, treatments, and patient diagnostics. They are also assigned additonal pharmacy and laboratory duties. These nurses are actively involved in keeping the hospital running and improving client communication to results in better patient care. The lead nurses assist us in surgery and a lead nurse is assigned to continuously monitor every anesthesia pet maintaining safe level of vitals. Our lead nurses are each given additional duties to keep the hospital running smoothly as based on their desires and skills. They also maintain the OSHA and Hazardous Materials programs.
